Assistant Project Manager, Direct Response Campaigns
Daniller + Company – October 2024

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Client Services, the Assistant Project Manager will support the Daniller + Company creative and production teams with the development of multichannel direct response campaigns for nonprofit clients. They will understand the goals and needs of our clients and offer important organizational, administrative, and proofreading support to ensure deliverables are accurate and provided on time. They will be responsible for assigned tasks for specific clients and assist project managers and project leads across clients. Daniller + Company is a fundraising consulting firm specializing in building membership and annual giving programs for nonprofit organizations. Core services include direct mail marketing, digital marketing, assessments and plans, and strategic consulting. Daniller + Company works with approximately 40 clients per year across the United States. Current clients include the Barnes Foundation, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Caritas of Austin, the Phi Beta Kappa Society, the High Museum of Art, Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, U.S. Soccer Federation, and others.

 

Primary Responsibilities Include

  • Manage assigned tasks for clients and support project managers/project leads
  • Understand clients’ mission, projects, campaign history, and goals
  • Manage project schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks and project milestones, in accordance with the clients’ approved budget
  • Schedule client meetings and develop agendas
  • Request and organize launch materials (collateral) from clients and summarize key information for creative team
  • Build positive working relationships with colleagues, vendors, and especially client contacts
  • Prepare explanatory memos and create mock-ups to present to clients
  • Implement quality control of client work, including proofreading, fact checking, and scope checks
  • Assist in managing creative process with vendors, including writers and graphic designers
  • Oversee project completion: proofing content and finalizing files
  • Maintain historical reports for key clients
  • Manage assigned monthly renewal and quarterly upgrade campaigns for key clients
  • Flag risks or concerns for projects to project leads
  • Address issues or delays in projects with professionalism and tact
  • Proofread and review printer proofs and live data samples for accuracy and formatting
  • Prepare and update financial reports for campaigns in Salesforce or Excel
  • Package and send project wrap-up materials to clients
  • Assist in planning internal events, as requested

Preferred Qualifications: One to two years’ experience working in an agency environment or a nonprofit (internships included). Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Asana and Basecamp project management software. A proofreading test is required as part of the interview process.

 

Location: Austin, Texas

Salary Range: $45,000 to $55,000, based on experience and credentials.

Benefits: Benefits include 14 paid holidays; generous vacation policy based on tenure with the company; health, dental, and vision insurance; paid family and sick leave; and 401k program after one year of employment.

Hours: Preferred Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. or 9 a.m.–6 p.m. Occasional extra hours as workload dictates. Minimum of three days a week working at the Daniller office in Austin, Texas, and possible two days working remotely.
